On September 10-12, 2018 in Moscow on the basis of the Faculty of Political Science of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov. Was held the third congress of the Russian Society of Political Scientists, which was devoted to the theme "Political Education in Modern Russia and the World".
The congress gathered over 500 Russian and foreign participants on its area. Within the framework of the event, 8 sectional sessions and 8 round tables were held, and presentations of new books published by the Russian Society of Political Scientists were held.
III Congress of the RSPS was timed to coincide with two anniversaries: the 250th anniversary of the first textbook on political science in Russian, published in Russia, and the 10th anniversary of the re-creation of the Faculty of Political Science at the M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University. Scientific discussions were devoted to the issues of the place of political science in the system of higher education, the formation and development of civic identity, the political education of citizens, modern approaches to studying and teaching world politics and international relations, as well as issues of ensuring national security in the view of political science education. Particular attention will be paid to the policy of historical memory and its educational potential.
Among the Russian participants in the plenary session were the rector of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov academician V.A. Sadovnichy, First Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation S.V. Kirienko, Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation E.A. Pamfilova, co-chairmen of the Russian Society of Political Scientists: Dean of the Faculty of Political Science, Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov, head of the Expert Institute of Social Research A.Yu. Shutov, rector of the Leningrad State University named after A.S. Pushkin S.G. Eremeev and head of the department of state policy of the Faculty of Political Science of Moscow State University, V.I. Yakunin.
The Kazakh delegation was a member of G.O. Nasimova, head of the Department of Political Science and Political Technologies of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science, KazNU named after Al-Farabi E.L. Nechayeva, head of the Department of Political Science of the ENU named after L.N. Gumilyev A.A. Nurmagambetov, director of the Center for the Bologna process and academic mobility of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, B.N. Karipov, Professor of the Department of General History and Philosophy of the Kokshetau State University Sh.Sh.Ualikhanov A.E. Chebotarev, director of the Center for Contemporary Studies "Alternative", B.B. Temirbolat the head of the General Department of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and S.K. Kushkumbayev, deputy director of KazISS. The expert of KazISS in his speech dwelled on topical issues and modern approaches in studying international relations and foreign policy in Kazakhstan.
