The expert of KAZISS Took Part in the VIII Civil Forum of Kazakhstan

 

On 27th and 28th of November was held the VIII Civil society forum "Civil society and the state: Dialogue at the Palace of Independence. Partnership. Trust». The Forum organized by the Civil Alliance of Kazakhstan with the support of the Ministry of social development of Kazakhstan.

On 28th of November took part the Head of the state N.Nazarbayev. In his speech to the civil activists, the President stressed the importance of establishing an open dialogue between the state and society in order to strengthen the unity of the people and the stable development of the country. The head of state expressed confidence that the results of the Forum will give impetus to the non-governmental sector and open the way for further development of civil society.

President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.Nazarbayev highlighted the work of organizations that provide support to people with disabilities, children and youth with special needs, orphanages, crisis centers "mother's House". The President instructed the Government to form a specific action plan based on the proposals made during the Civil forum.

The Forum included 35 thematic sessions in the format of seminars, workshops, round tables, discussion platforms, industry meetings with heads of ministries and departments, where public figures and activists discussed ways to improve the lives of citizens and increase civil liability.

  

The «Concept of sustainable and effective development of civil society for 2019-2025» was presented at the Forum. Its development was based on the results of seventeen civil forums held in the regions of Kazakhstan. Another important issue on the agenda of the Forum was the discussion of the OGP – Open Government Partnership program.

The forum ended with the presentation of the national public award «Tanym», the purpose of which is the public recognition of the achievements of Kazakh NGOs and public figures who have made an invaluable contribution to the construction and development of civil society in Kazakhstan.

Delegates and guests of the Forum were more than 1,000 representatives of NGOs, state and international organizations, business environment, expert community, public figures. Head of the Department of socio-economic research Asara Mukanova took part in the Forum from the Kazakhstan Institute of strategic studies under the President of Kazakhstan.
