The President's Address to the People of Kazakhstan

New opportunities for development in the conditions of the fourth industrial revolution

Kazakhstan has everything necessary to enter the number of leaders of the new world

Initiating the future

The name of Nursultan Nazarbayev has long been the brand of Kazakhstan that is highly appreciated both at home and abroad.

The First President of Kazakhstan has had a lot of achievements and initiatives domestically and internationally from the nuclear disarmament of Kazakhstan and establishment of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization to the Customs Union and the EEU. The most recent one is EXPO 2017.

It was President Nazarbayev, who proposed to build a new capital at session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan back in 1994. The idea has been successfully realized and the guests and residents may see the achievements of the new modern Smart city of Astana.

There has been long established practice to name places and monuments to acknowledge and celebrate the role of the most prominent figures in a nation’s history, Istanbul Ataturk Airport, T. Marshall Baltimore-Washington International Airport, Cologne, Konrad Adenauer Airport in Bonn, Paris Charles de Gaulle, and George W. Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston are the examples.

Considering that EXPO 2017 is taking place in the city of Astana, and that this event attracts people from all over the world who all come here through the airport, the symbolism and recognition effect is important.
