Open and Direct conversation

The new intellectual work of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev - the book "The era of independence" - is distinguished by a detailed historical description of each period of the heyday of our state.

The first nationwide presidential elections in Kazakhstan were held on December 1, 1991. The Soviet Union was already in agony; its economy lay in ruins. This is how Elbasy recalls about this time, passing the experience through his heart:

"... At meetings with voters, I did not try to brush off problems, did not distribute unjustified populist promises, but conducted open and direct talks with people. Honestly warned my voters that the country is awaited by serious tests and it is necessary to pass through them, because we had no other, roundabout and painless way to independence and prosperity. 8 681 276 Kazakhstanis came to polling stations. Having received 98.8% of the votes, I felt an incomparable sense of unity with my country, rallied around me and chose that day not only the President, but also the way to the future".

These lines from the new book by Nursultan Abishevich in details describe how our independence was built and strengthened, as the country overcame the stage of dismantling the old system and formed its own new, sovereign future. The head of state talks about the stages when the country came to new frontiers of development, how Kazakhstan's rise took place.

Elbasy's conversation is interesting, as he passes memories through his vision of many political problems and thereby explains many political decisions of the time. It gives value and significance to the new book, as our creator tells about our newest history.

Nursultan Nazarbayev for the first time in the new edition presented a clear picture of Kazakhstan's progress through the prism of three modernizations at once, first telling about the construction of new state institutions, then about the modernization of infrastructure and social sphere. Finally, he shared his vision of how we together had to make a step towards the future, change public consciousness, to become a united nation of strong and responsible people.

In the new book, written in the genre of journalism, the President significantly expands the range of historical material. From year to year, presidential books have been increasingly unclenched the "spring" of historical time, allowing for a better understanding of Kazakhstan and the processes taking place in it. In general, the works of the First President are the markers of each stage of the development of the republic - from the Strategy of the formation of Kazakhstan as a sovereign state and the Strategy "Kazakhstan-2030" to the "Kazakhstan-2050" Strategy.

The basis for the success of our state was the introduction of the principles of strategic planning and modeling. Annual Presidential Addresses to the people since 1996 have been the main factor of development, adjustment of plans, and formation of motivation for the whole society. Sociological surveys show the high awareness of Kazakhstanis about the books and writings of the President, his Messages to the people.

In Astana, during the solemn presentation of the book "The Era of Independence", it was said that it represented the view of Nursultan Nazarbayev on the history of the country and its future. Indeed, Elbasy made a deep analysis of historical events that occurred over 26 years of sovereign development of Kazakhstan, their interpretation, placed emphasis, which makes possible to understand the essence of many political decisions.

Careful analysis and assessment of the country's further development, presented in the new work of the Head of State, is not just a summary of the results, but a detailed analysis of the path covered and, most importantly, a vision of the future.
