Director of KazISS took part in the Kazakhstan-China Forum "One Belt, One Road", cooperation between think tanks, media and cultural spheres"


On September 7, 2018 in Astana in honor of the 5th anniversary of the "One Belt, One Road" initiative, the Kazakh-Chinese Forum "One Belt, One Road", a cooperation between analytical centers, the media and the sphere of culture" took place.

Coordinators of the event: the Kazakhstan Council on Foreign Relations, the Chinese Association of Public Diplomacy under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, the International Secretariat of G-Global, the Huangqiwang International Website, the Confucius Institute at the ENU after L.N. Gumilev.

The Forum was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, deputies of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of analytical structures, media, universities of the China and Kazakhstan, and others.

During the Kazakh-Chinese forum, the important role of the "Belt and Road" initiative in promoting Kazakh-Chinese cooperation to a new level, the joint implementation of the "Economic belt of the Silk Road", which corresponds to the tasks of the Kazakhstan program "Nurly Zhol" were discussed.

Director of KazISS under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Zarema Shaukenova presented a report at the Forum. She noted that the initiative "One Belt, one Road" is a large-scale and ambitious project aimed at creating a new reality both in infrastructure development in the Eurasian space.
