On April 29, was held the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Center for Central Asian Studies of Corvinus University (Budapest, Hungary) on the margins of the Kazakhstan-Hungary Business Forum in Nur-Sultan.
Established in November 2016, the Center for the Study of Central Asia at the University of Corvinus conducts applied research on key issues of political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the countries of Central Europe and Central Asia. The Center also pays attention to the development of effective policies in the field of international and regional security.
From the Kazakhstan side, the Memorandum was signed by the director of the KazISS under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zarema Shaukenova, from the Hungarian side - by the Managing Director of the Center for Central Asian Studies of the Corvinus University Miklosh Rost. The document creates the basis for the establishment and development of bilateral cooperation in research activities, contributes to the strengthening of scientific potential, the exchange of experience, the holding of joint conferences, round tables, expert meetings and meetings.
The event was also attended by Corvinus Marton Krashnai, Center for Central Asian Studies at the University, KazISS Academic Secretary Kazbek Issayev, Head of the KazISS International Studies Department Assel Nazarbetova, Researcher of the KazISS International Studies Department Eskendir Temirlan.
