On April 29, a seminar was held on the theme “Youth migration from Central Asian countries: risk analysis and minimizing negative consequences” in Almaty.
The study on youth migration is carried out in the framework of the International Regional Organization for Migration (IROM) project "Asian Regional Migration Program", funded by the US Department of State's Bureau for Population, Refugees and Migration.
The project is being attended by leading migration experts from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
During the seminar, a discussion was held on the research methodology, its acceptability and possible limitations for use, the purpose, objectives, expected results of the project, the implementation mechanism were defined.
From KazISS, the workshop was attended by the Chief Researcher Irina Chernykh and the Senior Researcher of the International Studies Department Anastasia Reshetnyak.
