The Astana Economic Forum (hereinafter - the AEF) has been held since 2008 on the initiative of the President of Kazakhstan N.A. Nazarbayev. This is the largest international platform where the key challenges and problems of the global financial and economic system are discussed, and specific recommendations are made for its strengthening and development.
The site annually gathers thousands of delegates from a number of countries, including top officials, leading politicians, Nobel Prize winners, famous scientists, journalists and representatives of the business elite.
The mission of the Forum is to discuss the problems and opportunities of the long-term stable development of the world economy and states, assist in defining and strengthening the role of Kazakhstan in the international community, and finding solutions to combat the main economic and social challenges of our time.
