At the end of January of the following year, a meeting of the Legal Board was held in the format of an expert meeting, at the NurOtan party. Agenda of the meeting was a discussion of the relevant provisions of the draft Administrative Procedure Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter - APC) and amendments to the current legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The event was organized by the Legal Board under the «Nur Otan» party, the Committee on Legislation and Judicial and Leal Reform of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Justice, the Supreme Court, the Institute of Legislation and Legal Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
At the meeting of the Legal Board, the model of administrative justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan was considered in the draft Administrative Procedure Code (pros and cons). Also the administrative procedures in the APC, such as the validity of the inclusion in the code of internal administrative procedures of State Bodies and the loss of legal force of the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan «On administrative procedures», «On procedure of individuals and legal entities applications consideration» and a number of other important issues to the draft Code were discussed.
The following meeting was attended by the Deputy Director of the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, member of the Legal Board under the Nur Otan party, Doctor of Law Marat Zhumagulov. He has outspoken his expert opinion on the issues that were discussed at the meeting. For instance, the KazISS expert considers the position of the developers of the APPK project on the need to the Laws «On Administrative Procedures» (2000), «On the Procedure for Considering Appeals of Individuals and Legal Entities» (2007) as controversial.
Legal Board - a special platform at the Nur Otan Party, which has been operating since 2010. The Board regularly holds meetings in various formats: expert discussions, round tables, conferences. His partners are the United Nations Development Program in Kazakhstan, the OSCE Center in Nur-Sultan, UNESCO, the Human Rights Commission under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, etc.
