On January 31, Almaty hosted the annual Digital Almaty forum. The theme of the forum this year was "The digital future of the global economy."
The forum was attended by the heads of government of the EAEU, as well as Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Moldova. The Forum was attended by leading CEOs and international experts in the field of information technology from more than 50 countries. Thus, the event was attended by UN Under-Secretary-General Fabrizio Hochschild, UNICEF Senior Advisor for Innovation Christopher Fabian, Amazon Web Services Government Transformation Director Liam Maxwell, Qwasar Silicon Valley founder Kwame Yamgnane and others.
In addition to the plenary session, at which the Prime Ministers discussed the issues of building a sustainable region based on data and artificial intelligence, a number of panel sessions were held.
Breakout sessions focused on the use of digital technology to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals, the promotion of digital Kazakhstan's products in international markets, the use of digital technologies in education, as well as the digital transformation vectors of the EAEU in 2020-2022.
Within the framework of the forum, various seminars, round tables and bilateral meetings took place.
