On February 20, 2020 in the city of Nur-Sultan, an international round table on the topic "Regional Security in the Conditions of Geopolitical Turbulence" took place. It was organized by the East-West International Center for Geopolitical Forecasting; Political Studies Association of Nur-Sultan; Independent Information and Analytical Center "Infogamma".
During the event, the issues such as global poverty growth, problems and prospects of integration into a single system in the Eurasian space, non-traditional security threats in the modern world and ways to eliminate them, etc. were addressed.
The floor for the welcoming words was given to Karlygash Nugmanova, a Director of the East-West International Center for Geopolitical Forecasting Dr. Karlygash Nugmanova, and a member of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Dr. Serik Seidumanov.
The round table was attended by representatives of government bodies and non-governmental sector, experts from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, and Russia.
KazISS was represented by Chief Research Fellow Dr. Marat Laumulin and Senior Research Fellow Anastassiya Reshetnyak.
