On April 30, 2020, the international online conference “Model of peace and harmony. Youth View”, dedicated to the Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan and the 25th anniversary of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan took place, which was organized by the youth movement of the APK “Zhangyru Zholy”.
The conference was attended by foreign experts in the field of interethnic relations and leaders of the youth wing of republican ethnocultural associations. Key speakers were the Majilis deputy of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Natalya Zhumadildaeva, the Deputy Chairman of the Assembly of Kazakhstan, Sherzod Pulatov, the chairman of the Youth Assembly of the Peoples of Russia “We are Russians” Dina Gromatikopolo, the chairman of the Federal Board of the Youth Organization of Russian German Germans in Germany Walter Gauks, the chairman of the Union of Uyghur Youth of Kazakhstan Rustam Kairay and Deputy Director of the Research Center "Zhastar" Elina Pauli. The moderator was the chairman of the Republican youth organization "Zharasym" Timur Dzhumurbaev.
Speaking with a welcoming speech to the conference participants, the Majilis deputy of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Natalya Zhumadildaeva, invited young people to continue to maintain and increase the unity and solidarity of Kazakhstani society. The parliamentarian especially emphasized the great work of youth, who are now actively working as volunteers and helping to combat the pandemic.
In his speech, Walter Gauks noted the role of the Public Fund “Kazakhstan Association of Germans “Renaissance” in maintaining international peace and harmony. Sherzod Pulatov shared information on the work to improve the work of the Assembly and ethno-cultural associations, as well as the role of the APK as a public assistant in the fight against the spread of the virus. Dina Gromatikopolo during her speech emphasized the role of youth in maintaining public harmony and spoke about the project “We Together” launched in Russia, which is designed to help those in need in this difficult period. Elina Pauli highlighted the successful experience of the Kazakhstan model of peace and harmony, and also noted the active volunteering of young people during the pandemic.
At the end of the conference, the speakers shared recommendations on books on interethnic relations and social harmony.
From KAZISS under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, experts from the Department of Social and Political Studies Zhanar Tulindinova, Madina Bektenova, Zhanar Sankhayeva, Slyamzhar Akhmetzharov, Aidana Akessina, as well as experts from the Department of Information-Analytical Works Aizhan Moldagaliyeva and the Department of International Studies Temirlan Yeskendir took part in the conference.
