In March 26, 2021, an online meeting of the National Commission for Women and Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held.
The meeting was attended by the director of the KazISS - a member of the National Commission for Women and Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zarema Shaukenova.
Lazzat Ramazanova, Chairperson of the National Commission for Women Affairs and Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, noted the importance of developing effective interaction on strengthening the institution of the family at all levels, as well as the need for close interaction with civil society.
“Responsibility for achieving the set goals and objectives of the Concept of Family and Gender Policy should be assigned to the regional akims. Work in this direction should not be formal. The issues of strengthening the institution of the family are in the focus of attention of the Head of State, ”L. Ramazanova stressed.
In order to strengthen the composition of the National Commission, by Presidential Decree No. 536 of March 19, 2021, new members were included in its composition - active representatives of civil society and the quasi-public sector. These are the heads of the public associations "Union of Fathers" M. Aytmaganbet and "Union of Mothers of Large Talbesik" L. Kozhakhmetova, President of the National Association of Cooperatives K. Shaikh, Chairman of the Alliance of Regional Women's Initiatives of Western Regions of Kazakhstan "ORTAQ" S. Salikhova, journalist D. Mukayev, Chairman of the Board of Damu Entrepreneurship Development Fund JSC G. Buribaeva, Executive Director of the Kazakhstan Association of Oil and Gas and Energy Complex Organizations “KAZENERGY” L. Akhmurzina, Director of the Kyzylorda regional branch of Kazpost JSC A. Abibullaeva. Adviser to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan M. Akimzhanova and public figure S. Tursynbekova are represented as deputy chairmen of the National Commission.
They also discussed issues on the implementation of the state social order aimed at the implementation of the state family and gender policy. L. Ramazanova recommended to revise the approaches to planning projects implemented within the framework of grant funding.
Following the meeting, a number of recommendations were made to central state and local executive bodies.
