On January 18, 2023, Director of the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerkin Tukumov met with Laura Karabassova, Chairman of the Board and Rector of the K. Zhubanov Aktobe Regional University.
Parties discussed cooperation between the two organizations. Yerkin Tukumov, Director of KazISS, spoke about the Institute’s readiness to increase its regional presence and activity. As such, an initiative to launch regional KazISS offices has been announced this year, with Aktobe as one of the destinations.
Laura Karabassova spoke about research and transformation of the Aktobe Regional University. It is one of the leading educational institutions and research centers in Western Kazakhstan. Dr. Karabassova emphasized the academic policy of the university, which is aimed at advancing scientific research and practical application of research results.
