The “Regional Barometer” is calculated on the basis of an index analysis method
and includes 2 sub-indices – political instability and social well-being.
The subindex of political instability is calculated on the basis of the following sociological indicators: probability of protests; readiness for personal participation in protest actions; level of distrust of the President of the RK; level of distrust of the regional/city of national importance Akim; negative assessment of implementation of the principle of “hearing state”.
The subindex of social well-being is calculated on the basis of the following sociological indicators: debt burden of the population with no savings; low and below average purchasing power; job dissatisfaction; dissatisfaction with the quality of medical care; dissatisfaction with the quality of educational services.
Step 1: Convert the percentage indicator values for each region into index values.
Step 2: Output the arithmetic average of each of the sub-indices by region.
STEP 3: Output the percentage value of the sub-index for each region
STEP 4: Output the total index value as a percentage
STEP 5. Perform inverse linear scaling (subtract this value from 100%).
Based on the following scale, we build a “Regional Barometer”.
