COUNCIL OF REGIONAL EXPERTS
The Council of Regional Experts is a professional network of regional analysts and researchers specializing in various fields and implementing a comprehensive regional research program. The goal is to develop evidence based recommendations for improving public policy and enhancing local government and self-governance.
Goals and Objectives of the Council of Regional Experts
Goals:
- Analysis of regional development – Conducting comprehensive research on the socio-economic, political, cultural, and environmental situation in the regions of Kazakhstan.
- Development of recommendations – Formulating proposals for improving public policy and enhancing local government and self-governance.
- Establishing an effective two-way dialogue between the central government and the regions to ensure regional specificities are considered in policymaking and local governance development.
- Building a strong expert community – Bringing together professionals engaged in regional analysis and policymaking.
Objectives:
Interregional cooperation – Facilitating the exchange of experiences and best practices between regions of Kazakhstan.
Monitoring and analyzing the regional situation – Systematic study and assessment of key changes in the economy, demographics, social sphere, environment, and infrastructure of the regions.
Development of strategies and recommendations – Preparation of analytical reports and proposals for regional development.
Capacity building and educational initiatives – Conducting training sessions and seminars for regional experts.
