On 25 October 2022 in Bishkek an international scientific-practical conference was held on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic.
The conference was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kyrgyz Republic R. Zhoshybaev, former Minister of Foreign Affairs T. Suleimenov, as well as experts on topical issues and issues of regional cooperation.
One of the most important topics of discussion were the issues of interstate cooperation in the trade and economic, social and humanitarian dimensions. During his speech, Yerkin Tukumov, the Director of KazISS, noted the importance of expanding ties in the scientific and analytical dimension:
“Over 30 years of independence, an atmosphere of trust and mutual respect has formed between our countries, which is built on the willingness to solve common issues together and find new ways of partnership.
Of particular interest in the prospect of mutually beneficial Kazakh-Kyrgyz cooperation could be the joint and regional development of a number of cooperative projects. The activity of expert and scientific-academic circles in this context is of great importance”.
The conference participants also exchanged views on the prospects of Kazakh-Kyrgyz cooperation and development of joint projects.
