On August 18, 2025, the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted a meeting with Finnish experts from the Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation (“CMI”) – an independent Finnish non-profit organization whose activities are aimed at preventing and resolving conflicts through dialogue and mediation.
During the meeting, participants highly appreciated the dynamics of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Finland. It was emphasized that the accumulated experience of interaction creates a solid foundation for the further expansion of partnership both bilaterally and multilaterally.
The discussion focused on pressing issues of the global agenda, including trends in international cooperation, the economy, and sustainable development. The parties exchanged views and highlighted the importance of regular expert dialogue for a deeper understanding of current international processes and for finding common ground.
At the end of the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to continue maintaining regular contacts aimed at deepening mutual understanding and promoting the development of a sustainable partnership between Kazakhstan and Finland.
