On September 25, 2024, a meeting was held at KazISS under the President of Kazakhstan with Céline Marange, an expert from the Institute for Strategic Research of the French Military Academy (IRSEM).
Participants discussed a wide range of current issues related to global and regional security challenges and geopolitical changes in the world. Céline Marange shared her insights and experience regarding international security and discussed contemporary trends in military and strategic research conducted by IRSEM.
In turn, Sanat Kushkumbayev, the Chief Research Fellow at KazISS, noted that France is an important strategic partner. He emphasized the significance of bilateral relations and elaborated on the principles of Kazakhstan’s multi-vector foreign policy. In particular, Kazakhstan actively engages not only with various international partners but also with countries at the regional level. Currently, Kazakhstan aims to strengthen ties with neighboring states and play a constructive role in the development of regional integration processes, creating platforms for dialogue and joint projects.
The meeting took place in an atmosphere of constructive dialogue, with both sides expressing readiness to further develop cooperation between Kazakhstan and France in research and analytical fields, as well as to exchange experiences and knowledge to enhance regional and global security.
