On 23 September 2022, a meeting was held between the leadership of the KazISS under the President of Kazakhstan and IMEMO.
The meeting was devoted to current issues of world politics and regional security, the prospects for bilateral relations, and further expansion of the expert dialogue between Kazakhstan and Russia.
Yerkin Tukumov, Director of KazISS under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, emphasized the importance of developing relations between the leading analytical centers of two countries and re-establishing the Kazakh-Russian expert council.
In the course of the discussion the Director of IMEMO Feodor Voitolovsky also highlighted the relevance of reaching a qualitatively new level in the sphere of research cooperation and forecasting.
In general, the participants of the meeting highlighted the positive dynamics of the growth of bilateral relations and the prospects for further cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia. Along with this, the parties agreed to strengthen relations between the analytical centers of Kazakhstan and Russia.
