KazISS Hosted a Meeting with the Delegation of the Chinese Academy of International Studies

On June 20, 2025, the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan (KazISS) held a meeting with a delegation from the Chinese Academy of International Studies (CAIS) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China. The visit was organized as part of efforts to strengthen expert dialogue and enhance cooperation between the analytical centers of Kazakhstan and China.

The CAIS delegation included leading specialists from the Institute of Eurasian Studies: Institute Director Li Zigao, Deputy Director and Chief Researcher Han Lu, and Senior Researcher Zhao Zhen.

Askar Nursha, KazISS Deputy Director emphasized the importance of expanding bilateral partnership and highlighted the role of expert platforms in shaping sustainable regional solutions.

During the discussions, both parties addressed pressing issues of bilateral cooperation and identified promising areas for future collaboration between KazISS and CAIS. Special attention was given to the development of the “Central Asia – China” format and cooperation within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

The Chinese delegation also expressed keen interest in deepening expert exchanges.
