The Republican State Institution “Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan”, located at 4 Beibitshilik Street, Astana, announces a competition for the following vacant position:
1. Head of the Database Management Department, Category A2-1
Functional Responsibilities: Analyze the Institute’s needs in databases, Big Data, and artificial intelligence (AI), and develop relevant projects; Organize and oversee the creation, modification, and updating of the Institute’s databases, Big Data storage systems, and AI models; Ensure the security, integrity, and reliability of the data stored in the Institute’s databases, Big Data storage systems, and AI models; Organize and manage user access to databases, Big Data storage systems, and AI models in accordance with established rules and procedures; Develop and implement methods and tools for processing, analyzing, and presenting data contained in the Institute’s databases, Big Data storage systems, and AI models; Prepare proposals for improving the system for collecting, storing, processing, and using data at the Institute, including the application of Big Data and AI; Supervise the work of the department for databases, Big Data, and artificial intelligence (AI).

Requirements for Applicants:
Higher or postgraduate education. At least 5 years of work experience in fields corresponding to the functional areas of the position, or at least 5 years of experience in research and/or organizational work, or experience in the field of databases, Big Data, artificial intelligence (AI), or experience with tools and technologies for processing and analyzing large volumes of data (Big Data).
