On 29 January, the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a meeting of the Expert Council on Economics, during which issues of high-quality economic growth were examined through the lens of the global geopolitical situation and the transformation of the political system within the framework of Kazakhstan’s constitutional reform.
The expert discussion focused on the renewal of the institutional environment as part of the constitutional reform, the formation of a new architecture of public administration, and its impact on stimulating high-quality economic growth and investment attractiveness.
The participants of the Expert Council also discussed the influence of the external environment on high-quality economic growth, particularly in the context of fragmentation and polarization of global politics, where a country’s success is determined by its ability to adapt in a timely manner to ongoing changes and to participate in shaping a new agenda.
The meeting was attended by heads and representatives of leading analytical centers, including Kuanysh Zhaikov, Head of the Desht Analytical Center; Zhanybek Aigazin, CEO of the Applied Economics Research Centre (AERC); Adil Kusmanov, Chairman of the Board of the Center for International Programs JSC; Serik Orazgaliev, Co-Chair of SDSN Kazakhstan and Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Public Policy of Nazarbayev University; as well as Aziza Iskakova, Central Asia Advisor at Aretera Public Affairs.
