The Chinese Academy of Social Sciences is one of the leading think tanks in China. It comprises over 40 scientific institutes and plays a significant role in shaping and promoting state policies.
The purpose of the visit by Chinese colleagues was to establish cooperation between analytical centers of Kazakhstan and China, discuss priority areas of cooperation between the countries, and implement the “Belt and Road” initiative. The Chinese delegation visited the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies within the framework of the Summit of Foreign Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states.
During the discussions, current issues related to international checkpoints between the two countries, infrastructure development, and deepening multilateral cooperation with Central Asian countries were addressed.
