On April 12, 2022, a meeting was held at the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mohammed Rashid Maaninu.
From KazISS, the meeting was attended by Deputy Director Sanat Kushkumbayev and Head of the Department of International Studies Asel Nazarbetova.
Ambassador Mohammed Rashid Maaninou in his speech spoke in detail about the economic achievements of the Kingdom of Morocco in recent years as a result of reindustrialization, about projects for the transition to a green economy and the level of interaction with world developed countries.
The parties noted the similarity of the geostrategic position of the two countries, discussed the prospects for Kazakh-Moroccan relations, including in the field of trade and economic cooperation, tourism development, etc.
The Ambassador expressed readiness to assist in establishing partnerships between the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Royal Institute for Strategic Studies (IRES) of Morocco.
Following the meeting, the parties reached an agreement to further strengthen contacts and hold such meetings on a regular basis on topical issues of bilateral relations, the international and regional agenda.
