On April 12, 2022, on the Day of Science Workers, the chief researcher of the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Indira Rystina took part in the social and political discussion program “Ashyq alan” on the national TV channel “Qazaqstan”.
“Recently, the country has paid special attention to young scientists and researchers. I would like to note that the Council of Young Scientists has been created, where young specialists can participate in decision-making, as well as make changes to the legislation in the field of science. It should also be noted that the number of grants for young scientists has increased. To date, projects of 314 young scientists have been implemented and presented to the public. If earlier the scholarship for doctoral students was 70-80 thousand tenge, then today it has increased to 200 thousand,” Indira Rystina emphasized.
The program was also attended by the Chairman of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhanna Kurmangalieva, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Karimbek Kurmanaliyev and PHD doctoral student of Nazarbayev University Idayatulla Ibrahimuly, who discussed a number of problems in the development of science.
