An expert from KazISS took part in the opening ceremony of the Center for Turkic Studies in Budapest

On September 22, 2025, the official opening ceremony of the Center for Turkic Studies took place in Budapest at the Ludovika University of Public Service. The new center is intended to become a leading academic platform for the study of the history, culture, politics, and economy of the Turkic world.

The center is being established as an international scientific and educational hub, bringing together universities, research institutes, think tanks, and expert communities. Its mission is to deepen academic dialogue, promote applied research, and develop new approaches to strengthening interstate cooperation and humanitarian ties with Turkic countries.

The opening program included panel discussions and expert lectures with the participation of representatives from leading universities of the Organization of Turkic States, research institutions, and international organizations. Among the participants was the Academic Secretary of the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies, Doctor of Economics and Professor Aigul Kosherbayeva.

Special attention during the event was given to the integration of scientific initiatives, training of qualified personnel, and the development of science diplomacy as a key instrument of international cooperation.
