On October 25th, an international scientific and practical conference titled “Strategic Analysis and Forecasting: Belarus in the Global World” was held in Minsk. The event was organized by Belarus’s leading think tank, the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Studies (BISS). Participants at the conference, representing analytical and research centers from post-Soviet countries as well as Iran, Turkey, and Vietnam, engaged in a valuable exchange of experiences regarding the operation of “think tanks,” the methodological and technical aspects of their work, and their involvement in providing information and analytical support to high-ranking officials.
Following that, on October 26-27, an international high-level conference titled “Eurasian Security: Reality and Prospects in a Transforming World” took place in Minsk. In addition to Belarusian and foreign experts, the conference brought together the leadership and representatives of international and regional organizations, as well as foreign policy agencies. Notably, participants included the Secretaries-General of the CSTO (Collective Security Treaty Organization), CICA (Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia), and the leadership of the Russia-Belarus Union State. High-ranking officials from the CIS, SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization), foreign ministers from Belarus, Russia, and Hungary, as well as deputy foreign ministers from Iran, Kazakhstan, and others, also attended.
The conference, organized by the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs during Belarus’s chairmanship in the CSTO, aimed to discuss issues of Eurasian security in contemporary geopolitical conditions.
A representative from Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Askar Nursha, participated in the event.
