Kazakhstan and Iran: Strengthening Diplomatic Relations

A meeting with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Kazakhstan took place at Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, a number of current issues on the global agenda were discussed, including the situation in the Middle East, interregional cooperation, as well as ways to enhance bilateral cooperation.

Yerkin Tukumov, Director of Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies (KazISS), noted that Iran is an important geographic and cultural-historical neighbor of Kazakhstan, which promotes economic and humanitarian interaction between the two countries.

In turn, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Iran, Ali Akbar Jowkar, emphasized the importance of strengthening relations between Kazakhstan and Iran, as well as the mutual interest in cooperation within the expert community of the two countries.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed hope for further strengthening of the partnership and collaboration between Kazakhstan and Iran.
