Aliya Mussabekova, Chief Expert at the Asian Studies Department of the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies (KazISS) under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, took part in the 4th Wanshou Dialogue on Global Security held in Beijing on May 13-14. The forum, themed “Universal Security in a Turbulent World: The Responsibility of Major Countries,”brought together over 50 policymakers, leading experts, and scholars from 37 countries.
Organized annually by the China People’s Association of Peace and Disarmament (CPAPD) under the auspices of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Wanshou Dialogue serves as a key platform for high-level discussions on pressing global security challenges.
Ms. Mussabekova contributed to the session on “Major Country Relations and Security in the Asia-Pacific,”where she addressed regional security dynamics and the growing interconnectedness between the Asia-Pacific and Central Asia. Her insights highlighted the importance of enhanced cooperation between these regions in ensuring stability and sustainable development.
Beyond the main forum, Ms. Mussabekova joined an international delegation visiting Chongqing Municipality where she participated in seminars, further deepening her engagement with Chinese experts and policymakers.
