The cooperation of think tanks will elevate the dialogue between the countries to a new level

The Kazakhstan-Serbian relations are distinguished by the absence of tension points, where mutual interest revolves around seeking ways for joint development. The Serbian side perceives Kazakhstan as an important partner in Central Asia. This was stated by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Vladimir Jovičić, during today’s meeting with the director of KazISS under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yerkin Tukumov.

Common values of international relations, such as maintaining territorial integrity of countries, peaceful conflict resolution, combating terrorism, and the multi-vector nature of Kazakhstan’s foreign policy, resonate with the Serbian side. Vladimir Jovičić proposes to elevate the dialogue between the countries to a new level through cooperation of think tanks. Thus, a series of joint events with the Institute of International Politics and Economics and the Institute of European Studies are planned, which is relevant in light of the upcoming visit of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Serbia in the second half of the year.

Yerkin Tukumov, in turn, supported establishing direct contacts with leading research centers and noted that Serbia is a politically strong state with a well-developed economy and a reliable partner of our country in the Balkans.
