Issues of interstate cooperation between Kazakhstan and Korea were discussed

The issues of interstate cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Republic of Korea were discussed at the meeting between Mr. Yerkin Tukumov, Director of KazISS under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Mr. Cho Tae-ick, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Relations between the two countries have the character of strategic partnership and are dynamically developing in economic, political and cultural spheres.

Director of KazISS noted that the Republic of Korea is Kazakhstan’s second largest trading partner in Asia and one of the largest investors. “Kazakhstan is interested in developing comprehensive trade and economic cooperation with South Korea. The experience of modernization of this country, which in a few decades has become one of the world’s leading economies, is important to us”, – emphasized Yerkin Tukumov.

During the conversation, the participants of the meeting also confirmed the intention to develop relations between the expert communities of Kazakhstan and Korea and discussed upcoming joint events.
