Kazakhstan and Switzerland. Prospects for cooperation were discussed at KazISS


On November 8, a meeting took place at Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan between the Director, Yerkin Tukumov, and the newly appointed Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation to Kazakhstan and Tajikistan, Salman Bal.

During the introductory meeting, Yerkin Tukumov congratulated Mr. Salman Bal on the commencement of his diplomatic activities in the Republic and wished him success in advancing bilateral relations between the two countries.


The Swiss Ambassador was briefed on the main activities of KazISS and expressed interest in further cooperation.

Both parties exchanged views on current international and regional issues, as well as the future development of Kazakhstan-Switzerland relations in areas of mutual interest.

Representatives from the Swiss Embassy in Kazakhstan congratulated KazISS on its 30th anniversary, recognizing the importance of a think tank in analyzing contemporary trends and issues in a global context.
