As part of his working visit to the PRC, Zhandos Shaimardanov, Director of the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, delivered a lecture titled “The Future of Governance in the Age of AI” at Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics in Hangzhou.
In his speech, Zh. Shaimardanov presented his vision of the transformation of public administration, emphasizing the need to shift from traditional models based on retrospective analysis to decision-making systems that use big data, predictive analytics, and intelligent platforms. In addition, the prospects for cooperation between China and the countries of Central Asia in the fields of the digital economy, innovation, and training personnel for the age of artificial intelligence were discussed.
As part of the visit, a scientific seminar was also held on cooperation between China and Kazakhstan in the fields of the digital and green economy. The event was attended by the university leadership, faculty members and students, as well as a Kazakh delegation that included experts from KazISS and other leading Kazakh analytical institutes and universities.
The events served as an important platform for exchanging expert opinions and strengthening academic and research ties between Kazakhstan and China.
