The Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted an «Ambassador Hour» with H.E. Julie M. Stufft, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Republic of Kazakhstan.
During the event, Ambassador Stufft shared her views on the key priorities and prospects for the further development of bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and the United States. Particular attention was given to the growing importance of Kazakhstan and Central Asia in U.S. foreign policy, as well as to current regional and international developments.
In his remarks, KazISS Director Zhandos Shaimardanov emphasized the strategic nature of Kazakhstan – U.S. relations, which are built on mutual respect and constructive dialogue. He underscored the commitment of both Kazakhstan and the United States to further expanding cooperation across a broad range of areas, including economic, scientific, cultural, and humanitarian engagement.
The event concluded with an open Q&A session, during which KazISS experts had the opportunity to discuss with the Ambassador a wide range of issues related to contemporary U.S. foreign policy, regional security, international cooperation, and other topics of mutual interest.
The «Ambassador Hour» format provides KazISS experts with an opportunity to engage in direct professional dialogue with heads of diplomatic missions, exchange views on international affairs, and gain first-hand insights into the foreign policy priorities of partner countries.
